About Me

- Name: The Lazy Investor
- Location: Las Vegas, Nevada, United States
I grew up Oklahoma, where my Dad told me, "Find a good job!", while Mom said "Start your own company!" I earned an A.S. degree in Electronics, and began to look for something that would offer the right combination of those messages. I fixed stereos, was a radio DJ, contracted for a long distance company and sang in a country band. I finally settled down as an engineer at a corporate job and moved to Northern California. I traveled a lot, visiting 36 countries and lived in Russia for two years, where I met my wife, Irena. Finally, Irena and I came back to the US. We tried a few home-based businesses, including a surplus electronic equipment operation. It was a good business and we made a lot of money, but it was hard, physical work. Early in 2002, we attended a real estate seminar and loved the idea, which involved buying and selling houses that could be considered "surplus" houses. The first year, we completed over 40 deals through 'no money down' methods, and I developed my own system to further minimize the work and maximize the returns.
